Interview with: Jaclyn Francis, Founder of Sesh

Our Founder, Jaclyn Francis, experienced the powers of Energy Healing at a time when she needed it the most. As Jaclyn entered her mid twenties, she began suffering from anxiety that was impacting her mentally and physically. She wanted to find a way to heal it on her own, but nothing worked until she came across the Energy Healing modality, Reiki. After her first Reiki session she felt her entire energy shift in a way that completely changed her life in the most positive way possible. A few months later, Jaclyn decided to become a Certified Reiki Healer. But as she began to learn more about personal energy and how to heal it, she realized the lack of awareness and access to Energy Healing within our society. She wanted nothing more than to change this, and thus her business Sesh was born. 

Sesh is currently available in Southern California within the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego areas. 

Sesh uses the Energy Healing modality Reiki – a gentle yet powerful form of Energy Healing that detoxes our energy and rebalances us holistically. Reiki Healers act like a channel to our Universal Life Force Energy. They use light hand placements (both above and on your body) to intuitively guide this very high vibrational Universal Energy Source through the parts of us that need healing most. 

The word Reiki literally means Universal Energy. In Japanese (Rei) translates to “Universal Life” and (Ki) means “Energy”. Reiki dates back over 100 years where it was first discovered in Japan by a man named Dr. Mikao Usui. You can think of Reiki as an Energetic Detox. It releases stagnant energies that are no longer serving you to make space for what truly does. 

I first discovered Reiki at a time when I needed it the most. It was during my mid-late twenties when I started suffering from anxiety and wanted to find a way to heal it on my own. After my first Reiki session I felt my entire energy shift in a way that completely changed my life in the most positive way possible. The root causes of my anxiety came to surface and I was able to gain clarity on my life to change it for the better. It was truly incredible. Not only did I feel this massive shift, but I remember looking in the mirror the next day and seeing a change on a physical level. I loved who I was looking at in that mirror!

I now use Reiki regularly, at least once a month, to maintain an overall healthy well-being. As a Founder of a budding business my energy is pretty much all over the place. Dealing with low vibrational energies like anxiety, stress, and constantly feeling overwhelmed - I use Reiki to bring myself back to center and regain balance so I can function at my best. It also helps me whenever I’m feeling blocked, insecure, or uncertain about business decisions. Reiki has truly changed my life and is something I cannot live without. 

Yes! There is so much more to us than just the physical. Just like your gut builds up junk from all the food you consume over the years and how your pores become clogged from makeup and pollution - your energy body does the same. 

Every single trauma, emotion, and situation you go through in life is some sort of energetic exchange. When you don’t fully heal or let go of these experiences, the energy becomes blocked and stuck within your body. It is through a modality like Reiki, that helps you release the stuck energies and raise your overall vibration so you can step into a better, more authentic version of yourself.

That’s why it is so important to keep up with a healthy energy routine, like you do your skin. Because whatever is going on under the surface, or at the root, always makes its way to the physical!
