The Range of the Human Skin Color

This amazing project, Humanae, is a collection of thousands of portraits showcasing the incredibly wide array of human color. In the works since 2012, Angelica Dass has photographed over 4,000 individuals, matching their skin color to colors from the Pantone color library. Angelica's project has traveled the world, focusing on the idea that race is a social construct and not a biological one. Her 2016 TED talk addresses these social issues and her philosophies of Humanae.

See Angelica Dass's incredible display of the human color, Humanae, here, and be sure to watch her TED talk to understand her story and her process of the creation of Humanae.
